It isn't a person's skin that makes them a person,
It is their heart, and their soul that makes them a person.
It isn't the colour of their skin that makes a person,
It is the love and caring for humanity that comes from inside, that makes a person.
It isn't the body parts attached to the skin that makes a person,
It is the knowledge and wisdom that they share, that makes a person.
It isn't a who someone loves that makes them a person,
It is the fact that they love that does.
So, don't judge a person by their outer shell,
judge them by the person within!
Remember, it is the heart and soul, the knowledge and wisdom,
it is their love and caring for humanity that comes from within,
along with the fact that they love, that makes a person!
I wrote this piece after reading about a character named Chase/Chastity in Chapter Nine of the story TJ by Jay Hooks, I woke up around 2 am with these words floating around my brain. I woke up and wrote them the next morning. I hope that I did Chase/Chastity credit. Thank you, Jay, for letting me link your story to this piece.
